’10 Arbor Iron
Price range: $28.88 through $70.00
Sweet heavy‑roast character with malty‑bready smoothness and a warm, rounded finish. Comforting and substantial.
Arbor Iron Cake marks the debut of LCGC’s iron cake collection. Crafted by Mme Du Chunyi, known as Cha Mama, this tea reflects 44 years of mastery in blending tradition with innovation. She combines aged raw tea with ripe leaves to create a harmonious balance of yin and yang, delivering depth and elegance in every sip.
Dry pot releases a sweet heavy roast with a sharp camphor top note. Qi surges quickly, tingling the ears, warming the chest, and inducing a pleasant wooziness. Sweetness rises to the forehead, followed by malty-bready smoothness and a roasty bitter finish. Fresh from storage, the tea offers roasted complexity; after airing, dried fruit notes emerge.
Made from Yunnan large-leaf old arbor trees, sun-dried green tea leaves undergo moderate fermentation. Longer steaming and higher pressure during pressing ensure firmness and aging potential. The 2010 vintage stands out as the only 200g release. The “1966” emblem on the wrapper signifies LCGC’s Classic Series, placing Arbor Iron among its top-tier offerings.
Premium craftsmanship from one of China’s most respected tea masters. Unique blend of raw and ripe leaves for balance and transformation over time. Collectible vintage with strong aging potential and evolving flavor profile. In LA since Jan ’25.
