Immediate sweetness, deep petrichor, minty camphor, dark chocolate bitterness. Bittersweet with bitterness and camphor predominating in very long-lasting aftertaste, an effect in part from generous inclusion of golden buds throughout the cake.  The camphor settles into a mellow medicinal vibe evoking sense of Chinese medicine shop.  Oud, the most expensive of incenses and also used in Chinese medicine for digestive and respiratory conditions, joins the mix for a sophisticated and layered brew.  On one hand the flavour can be associated with Junior Mints candy, on the other guilinggao, though much more bitter.  Medium-heavy density.  Appropriate astringency.  Moderate qi.  Moderate compression.  Certified organic.  Bulang material.  Bulang qiaomuwang.  Laoman’e TF.  Stored from Oct ’20 and Oct ’22.
