’14 Jasmine Breeze
Price range: $19.80 through $44.00
Nectarine, honeysuckle, mountain‑stream freshness • Quick, thick huigan • Stored in LA since 2023
This spry Jingmai comes from a hefty 1‑kilo cake and delivers everything that makes the region famous. The aroma is bright and bold, coating the empty cup heavily — the classic guabei effect. This is when the aroma coats the empty cup. The liquor is very sweet, lively, clean, and refreshing, reaching the throat with ease.
Infusion after infusion, the tea remains remarkably consistent. Its personality is steady and friendly, offering flavors that conjure nectarine, mountain streams, and honeysuckle. The huigan excels — quick, thick, sweet, and long‑lasting, evocative of jasmine carried on the breeze.
A gentle uplift progresses to head‑spinning effects, followed by warming comfort in the belly. This tea epitomizes the qualities that make Jingmai beloved, especially for beginning raw Puerh drinkers.
Stored in Los Angeles since April 2023 under balanced, Goldilocks conditions.
