D’anjou perfume top and flesh underneath progressing to a Chenin Blanc nose. Huigan is instantly sweet lingering D’anjou acid and juiciness that includes a hint of the peel. Initially broth pales in comparison to huigan: though sweet the broth taste comes off quite Zen, mainly a sugary cloud that is nevertheless smolders with deceptive intensity in the belly. Hits its stride by third infusion where the evanescent playfulness of tangerine oil joins in. Sugar cloud profile intensifies and thickens. Zero bitterness, some astringency reaching throat, some drying. Very warming qi, numbs mouth and face, pulsates beneath the skin. Space travel. In Los Angeles since Jun ’15.
